1.1 Finger Placement

1. 1Feel for the small bumps on F and J. Rest your left index finger on F and your right index finger on J.
2. 2Let the other fingers fall on the keys beside them: A S D on the left, K L ; on the right.
3. 3Rest both thumbs lightly on the space bar.
4. 4Curve your fingers, keep your wrists off the desk, and return to these keys after every reach.

Then check your position: type the keys below, pressing each one with its own finger. Keep your eyes on the screen.
